Walkenried Priory Pond
A cozy outdoor swimming pool in the woods between Bad Sacha and Walkenried
The nature reserve surrounding Priorteich, between Bad Sachsa and Walkenried, is a forest swimming area and one of the 365 bodies of water around Walkenried. It is open during the summer months for the regular swimming season and also features a large sunbathing area. In certain areas of Priorteich, fishing in the Harz Mountains is also permitted with a fishing license.
The Priorteich is about 350 meters long and up to 220 meters wide. There is a parking lot along the country road, located only about 500 meters from the Waldbad.
