Food Donations

“Donate Food Instead of Wasting It”

The Bad Sachsa Tourist Information Office and the Bad Sachsa Food Bank have launched a wonderful and, above all, sustainable initiative: “Donate food instead of wasting it.”

This initiative is intended to help reduce food waste, thereby protecting the environment and conserving resources, as well as helping people in need.

So if you’re looking for your vacation in Bad Sachsa but don’t want to take them home or simply don’t have any more room in your suitcase, our food donation campaign offers a simple and sustainable solution. When you leave, simply donate any leftover food you don’t want to take home to the local food bank and do a good deed!

Foods with a long shelf life are particularly suitable for this charity drive. Unfortunately, fresh and frozen products are not suitable for this initiative. Recommended items include, for example, rice, pasta, all tinned foods, and food with a long shelf life in sealed packaging. Frozen goods, eggs and opened packets are not recommended. Please bring these food items to the Bad Sachsa Tourist Information Centre during opening hours before you leave. Thank you very much.
