The village community center in the Neuhof district is a good starting point for these loop hiking trails. Of course, you can also start at other locations, such as the town center of Bad Sachsa. Connections to the towns of Walkenried, Tettenborn and Steina as well as to the neighboring Thuringian countryside are signposted at many locations. The South Harz Karst Trail runs right through the Bad Sachsa hiking area. This stretch is arguably one of the most beautiful on the 265-kilometer Karst Hiking Trail from Bad Grund to Pölsfeld/Sangerhausen.
After an active day in nature or a long hike, stop by one of the many diverse restaurants in the Harz Mountains.
The 660-meter Ravensberg is one of the most beautiful destinations around Bad Sachsa and a real highlight for hikers, nature lovers, and those who enjoy the finer things in life. From up above, you’ll be treated to a fantastic view of the Harz Mountains.
